Have you recently been banned on Instagram, and as a result, you can no longer access your account to post or run ads? Wondering how to get your account back? Join the club. You’re probably wondering what you did to get your account banned unless you already know, and if there’s even a chance, you can recover your account. The answer to that question isn’t so simple, and it’s really going to depend on why you were banned and if it was:
- Because you used a third-party app that promises “Fast organic growth” (like SocialMeep or Kicksta)
- You shared inappropriate content
- It was a mistake
No matter why your Instagram account was banned, in my video below, I address what you can and can’t do to recover it.
Here’s what Instagram tells us:

You can’t impersonate others or provide inaccurate information.

Don’t do anything unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent, or for an illegal or unauthorized purpose.

Do not attempt to create accounts or access or collect information in unauthorized ways.
This includes creating accounts or collecting information in an automated way without our express permission. -
You can’t sell, license, or purchase any account or data obtained from our Service or us. As a result, your account will be banned.
This includes attempts to buy, sell, or transfer any aspect of your account (including your username); solicit, collect, or use login credentials or badges of other users; or request or collect Instagram usernames, passwords, or misappropriate access tokens. -
You can’t modify, translate, create derivative works of, or reverse engineer our products or their components.

Please don’t use a domain name or URL in your username without our prior written consent. As a result, your account will be banned.
