This Privacy Policy explains what information Social Impressions (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit socialimpressions.net, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built this site to help people think more clearly about their brand, and we take your privacy as seriously as we take that work.
Who we are
Social Impressions is a small business owned and operated by David Pride. You can reach us any time at david@socialimpressions.net with questions about this policy or anything else.
What we collect
Information you give us directly
When you fill out our email signup form, contact form, or book a consultation, you share information with us on purpose. That typically includes your name, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us about yourself or your business. If you book a 15-minute brand consultation through our booking tool, you also share scheduling details like your time zone and availability.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some basic technical information when you visit. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, referring website, and pages you view. We use this to understand how the site is performing and to improve the experience. We do not use this information to build a personal profile of you.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site running smoothly and to remember things like whether you’ve already seen our signup popup. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Turning them off may affect how some parts of the site work.
How we use your information
We use the information you share with us for a small set of specific purposes:
- To send you the newsletter or emails you signed up to receive
- To schedule and deliver the free consultation you requested
- To respond to questions, inquiries, or feedback you send us
- To understand how people use the site so we can make it better
- To meet legal and accounting obligations related to running a business
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to marketers. Full stop.
Third-party services we use
To run this site and connect with the people who visit it, we rely on a handful of trusted third-party tools. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and your information is handled according to their terms when you interact with them through us.
Mailchimp
We use Mailchimp to manage our email list and send our newsletter. When you submit the signup form on our site, your email address and any other details you provide are stored securely in our Mailchimp account. Mailchimp may also collect information about how you interact with our emails, such as whether you open them or click links. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send you. Mailchimp’s privacy policy is available at https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/.
Calendly
When you book a free 15-minute consultation with us, you do so through Calendly, our scheduling partner. Calendly collects your name, email, and the details you enter when booking the meeting. We use that information only to show up prepared for the call you booked. Calendly’s privacy policy is available at https://calendly.com/privacy.
Hosting and analytics
Our website runs on WordPress and is hosted by a web hosting provider that may collect standard server logs for security and performance reasons. We may also use basic analytics tools to understand site traffic in aggregate.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. That includes using reputable service providers, keeping software up to date, and limiting access to the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet is 100 percent secure, so while we do our best, we can’t promise absolute security. If we ever become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
Your choices and rights
You have real control over your information. You can:
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email
- Ask us what personal information we have about you
- Ask us to correct or delete information we have about you
- Opt out of cookies through your browser settings
To exercise any of these rights, email us at david@socialimpressions.net and we’ll respond promptly.
Children’s privacy
This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our business or the law evolves. When we do, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we’ll do our best to let you know directly, usually through an email or a notice on the site.
